Abstract
The present study aims at investigating the sources of stress among Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti employees at government sector. The sample of the study composed of 289 individuals of which 243 were Kuwaitis and 46 non-Kuwaitis of which 162 were males and 127 females. Results showed that there were significant differences in the sources of stress among the Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti employees with the former experiencing the highest amount. The exception of that was noted on the source of vocational development where the non-Kuwaitis exhibited higher stress. With regard to gender, females exhibited higher experiences with stress as opposed to their male counterparts. There were no noted significant differences in regard to level of education with high school or undergraduate employees, except for two variables, the managerial role and the organizational structure climate. With regard to the former variable undergraduate employees exhibited higher stress compared to the high school employees. Whereas, with the organizational system the high school employees has shown more stress than the undergraduate employees. The study also showed that there were no differences in the sources of stress in regard to the employees social marital status.
