Title Radiated Power from GSM Mobile Phones
Source Journal of King Saud University. Engineering Sciences. Volume 14, No 2. (2002/1422)
Abstract Lab and field Measurements are perfonned for radiated power density nom several GSM mobile phones, at different times and locations. That is to identify the intensity ofthe radiated power nom such phones and how that intensity is related to the operating conditions. Also, radiated power variations between different brands of GSM phones are investigated, as well as compatibility with es tablished standards. Measurement results indicated that radiated power density increases with distance nom base station and decreases with silence. Radiated power also increases inside buildings. Measurement results that demonstrate radiated power change with different factors are also presented. Results show that there are some differences in radiated power level nom different brands at the same working condition. These differences increase near base stations or at nee space locations and decrees inside buildings or at locations far nom base stations. Results did not indicate incompatibility between GSM mobile phones and established standards. Keywords: Mobile phones, EM field hazard.
