| Abstract | This paper deals with a new collection of Lihyanite texts, which are read and their meaning given in Classical Arabic. It also concentrates on the explanation and analysis of their linguistic roots and cultural significance within the framework of the Semitic languages. The texts themselves focus mainly on two aspects; one is related to religious rites of the Lihyanite people and the other is sociological whereby the names of significant individuals are highlighted. |
