Abstract . Urban Heritage is considered as one of the important cultural issues that reflects the urban identity of any region, in addition to its importance as an information resource related to urban history on which basic principles and criteria of modem urban development studies in this region should be based and concluded. Nowadays, in spite of the dominance of technology in most aspects of our life, specially those related to the on going information and communication revolutions, the observer of the urban heritage in the kingdom -from this point of view- could conclude that the process of documenting and presenting this heritage has not fully utilized technology power and potentialities. Hence, this paper aims to reach a framework for an interactive model(s) of digital documentation and presentation of urban heritage utilizing concepts related to "Virtual Reality" by which it could be presented in varieties of ways, approaches and media, remotely accessed and fully or partially immersed in, in addition to the ability of getting required information and studying its elements and components textually, auditory, or visually. The prospected model could share an effective role in increasing understanding urban heritage, its cultural and scientific dimensions, in addition to the vital role it could play in encouraging tourism in the kingdom. The researchers believe that if the thought pattern and efforts of all agencies related to the process of documenting, preserving, evaluating and developing urban heritage could be unified in this field, it could be considered as a national project to build a heritage interactive information base and encyclopedia by which all specialists, researchers, students, visitors and all interested persons could efficiently utilize the potentialities of urban heritage from this point of view.
