| Abstract |
In the past, the Egyptian village provided the Egyptian town with all it needs from foods without fair indemnity. Although the settlements of Egyptian villages represent more than half numbers of the Egyptian residents, they grow up informally without planning. So, the Egyptian villages suffered from urban, social, and economical problems for a log time ago. These problems happened because of concentrating the investments and urban projects on towns. So, carelessness of the villages leads to accumulate the problems and become more complicated. The appearances of the Existing situation ensure that most of the Egyptian villages were not planed before. In the past, there were urban and social studies concerning the Egyptian villages. Most of these studies were not translated to urban plans which control the urban growth and building construction of these villages. So, the Egyptian villages extended informal over the agriculture areas which surround most of these villages. Therefore, most of the Egyptian villages especially Assiut Governorate villages suffering from urban, social, economical problems. These problems lead to more deterioration and decreasing in the main functions of these villages. The research aims to observe the existing situation of the Egyptian villages especially Assiut Governorate villages through analytical study for four villages (case study). This analytical study leads to recognize the important characteristic and problems of these villages. The research also aims to propose future vision to development and up-grading the urban pattern of Assiut Governorate villages. The research consists of four main parts; the first one contains the introduction and the second part observes the existing situation of the Egyptian villages. The third one surveys the existing situation of Assiut Governorate villages. The fourth part of the research contains the proposal of future vision to development Assiut Governorate villages |
