Abstract The aim of the study was to recognize the level of Omani teacher’s locus of control (TLC) of success and failure situations and to identity whether there is a difference according to sex, school, specialization, experience, source of certificate. The Rose & Medway scale of TLC was given to 566 teachers, after checking the scale’s validity and reliability. The results indicate that the level of TLC of success situations is higher, while the level for failure situations is lower. Furthermore, only the specialization variable was significant in favor of science teachers.
