| Abstract | This paper attempts to present the influence of Islam on the poetry of al- Nabighah al- Shibani through four main sections: belief in Allah, taqwa , belief in fate and the certainty of death, and morality. It also attempts to prove that al- Shibani was not a Christian as claimed by some ancient and modem scholars. On the contrary, he was a true Muslim from birth and had not converted to Islam from Christianity, nor embraced Islam at a late age as claimed by some modem researchers. |
