| Abstract |
This paper is an analytic study of a new Sabaean inscription of a bronze plat written in three lines of prominent Musnad script. This inscription was found in Tu´ayla location, al Awhd village in al-Dayma al-Dahilaya. After examining the known corpus of the Yemeni ancient inscriptions, the researcher found that this inscription was not published before. It is obvious, from its content, that this inscription belongs to the category of sin and expiation inscriptions. It is worth mentioning that the name of N´M MGD is a new female name that is never mentioned before in the published Yemeni ancient inscriptions. Thus, the name of N´M MGD is considered to be a new addition to the female names record in Yemeni ancient inscriptions. Besides that, the inscription is in the form of a new verb provided with feminine pronouns t and n which is the verb T`HRN and that is considered to be another addition to the known verbs in the Sabaean language till now. |
