Abstract This study aimed at finding out the effect ofthe training program suggested to develop some of the basic soccer skills among beginners in AI-Mafraq Governorate (Jordan). The researchers prepared a training program to develop some basic soccer skills, including accuracy of aiming, control over the ball and shooting it to the farthest distance. The sample consisted of 18 players purposely selected from the soccer beginners' team in AI-Mafiaq Governorate. The results showed significant statistical differences between the pre-test and the post-test in favor of the post-test in all the skills used in the research. This means that the training program had a significant effect in developing the skills selected for research. In their recommendations, the researchers pointed out the importance of training programs based upon sound scientific grounds. Tests that would help serve the players should also be put in consideration. They also recommended that similar studies on other skills might be helpful.
