| Abstract |
This study aims at exploring and determining the relative importance of the factors which influence the price of exported industrial products either taken together or separately. It also aims at determining whether there are significant differences among Exporting Chemical Industries in terms of the relative importance of the effect of these factors upon the price of exported products. The findings of the study showed that the relative importance of the factors (export price objectives, competition, costs, market conditions, and product characteristics) affecting the final price of exporting products was found to be significant when taken together. However, five factors (costs, competition, risks, government regulations, and market demand) only found to be significant when they were taken separately. It also showed that that relative importance of these factors were found to significantly different among exporting chemical industries whether they were classified on the basis of the number of employees, exporting experience or percentage of exporting sales. |
