Abstract The company characteristics, either infrastructural or operational, play a vital role in its future determination. Since the Saudi industrial companies are in the way for new stage representation in free market and participation in the world trade organization, the study found the significance of conducting analysis for operational and infrastructural aspects of these companies and the extent of their readiness to cope with the future stage. Riyadh region is considered the first industrial center in the Kingdom, so it has been selected for studying the characteristics of its companies as an overall example for all companies in the Kingdom. These companies face many problems. Some are related to infra structure and others to external ones. These problems hinder the progress of the companies, their efficiency and competition capabilities. The findings of the present research emphasize on the change of organizational structures, and the necessity for modernization, adopting new mechanisms, proceeding towards constriction and group readiness in globalization.
