Abstract The main objective of this study is to evaluate quality of life and living conditions in the small town of Dhruma, the central region of Saudi Arabia. To achieve study objectives, objective and subjective variables were used in the analysis. It includes variables such as: income, education, job, and housing characteristics, availability of public services and facilites; residential satisfaction, preferences and migration intentions variables. Research data depends mainly on a clustered random sample of 87 households. Study results indicate a general improvement in the quality of life in the town during the past few years and the existence of an overall feeling of residential satisfaction among the sampled population. This improvement will support the town future growth and development. Studies of this type are considered to be an important mean for public officials and planners as it provides a clear picture of the existing living conditioins of the population of a place, and in projecting and planning their future needs.
