| Abstract | The city of Riyadh has witnessed a drastic increase in the consumption of Electrical energy during the last ten years, with buildings accounting for most of that increase.. This was coupled with a variation in consumption between summer and spring months. The previous status has directed the researcher to investigate the various patterns of ekctricaf energy consumed by buildings on both annual and daily levels. The aim was to determine the influences of both climatic factors and the characteristics of the built environment on the patterns of consumption. Finally, effective means regarding the stabilization and conservation of electrical consumption are presented. |
