| Abstract | This paper addresses basically Word Order in Modern Standard Arabic, henceforth MSA, in the GB framework. However it touches on some more recent ideas advocated in Chomsky (1995), (1)Uriagereka (1998)(2), Mohammad (2000)(3) among others, which fall in the minimalist approach. It is divided into two main parts. The first reviews the main ideas in some previous studies while the second tries to establish one basic word order in the GB approach. |
