Abstract
Those who have written on modern Saudi literature have always been so preoccupied with its poetry that they have largely disregarded its prose. That is why the student of modern Saudi prose literature finds himself, as it were, on virtually virgin soil, a circumstance which, though it may add to the attraction of the subject, may also, to some extent, increase its difficulties. This book is intended to help the student (or the reader) understand the Saudi prose in a better way.
